Two festive cocktail recipes for St. Patrick’s Day

By Andrew Daw

Noir Sour

• 1.5 oz. Signal Hill Whisky
• 2 oz. Guinness
• 1/2 oz. Fireball
• 3/4 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice
• 1/2 oz. Simple Syrup
• 5 Dashes Angostura Bitters

Method:
In a cocktail shaker, dry shake the Guinness for 5 seconds to reduce the carbonaKon. Then add all other ingredients and vigorously shake over ice for 15 seconds. Remove ice and re-shake for 10 seconds. Double strain into stemmed glassware of choice. Add 3-5 drops of Angostura BiRers and garnish with lemon zest

Leapin’ Leprechaun

• 1 oz. 30 mL Crystal Head Onyx
• 1 oz. 30 mL Melon Liqueur
• ¾ oz. 22 mL Green Chartreuse
• ¾ oz. 22 mL Fresh Lime Juice
• 1 Egg White
• 3-4 Mint Leaves

Method:
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake for 15 seconds. Remove ice and re-shake for another 10 seconds. Double strain into a chilled coupe glass and garnish with a dehydrated lime wheel with a mint crown through the middle.

These pair well with Irish Stew or even Green Pancakes! They go well with anything or on their own…and they can also be made into mocktails — which is great. Enjoy!
